The good news is that manufacturers are finding solutions that mean Hi-vis workwear is now available which is made from fabrics which are more sustainably sourced.
A great example is the new range Ecoviz by Leo Workwear.
This range of high visibility clothing is made from recycled or sustainably sourced fabrics. The Hi-vis elements of the workwear are constructed from fabrics derived either from recycled post-consumer clothing or recycled plastic bottles.
These items are broken down into small fragments and then processed into polyester materials which are then polymerised into fibres. These are then used to create the Hi-vis workwear items.

There is no compromise whatsoever on safety. All the products in the range fully conform to ISO 20471.

Workwear items include coveralls and bib and braces as well as jackets. There are also polo shirts and long-sleeved shirts for warmer conditions. The range also includes workwear that is tailored to provide a better fit for women.
